Well it had a cherished existence if I'm honest - all those times in the last 3 years I saw posts about failed 360's and thought 'not mine its well ventilated and little used'...so it had to happen the day before my Live! subs ran out and just before christmas didn't it??
Anyway yeh my 360 has dided and it's nearly 3 years old and not suffering the whole RROD thing just this one light and the E73 error. What I want to know is has anyone had any success fixing said error themselves? Does the x-clamp replacement even have any bearing on this error type since it seems to relate to I/O errors and specifically the ethernet port? Oh and while I'm at it...why the hell couldn't MS have made it so that such an error was reported but didn't cause the whole console to become a brick?!

Looks like a new slim...
