xbox 360 3 red rings

I know there is no doubt loads of forum info on this, but being relatively new to the console world. I have had my 360 for about 1yr 1 month or perhaps a bit more. All of a sudden i started it up tonight and i got 3 red rings on 3 bootup, removed the power cable from the plug and tried again and its worked fine, Is this a sign of imminent failure ?

It's in warranty, send it off to Microsoft. You'll get your console back within 1-2 weeks

Whats the warranty period. I thought it was 1 year ?

Edited Main post. Ive had it for 1yr 1 month which is what i meant to say rather than 11 months.

3 years for RROD

See how it goes. It could've just been a one-off as RROD is a fairly generic error (though usually it's GPU solder joints). If yours carries on working reliably for a few weeks then I'd just forget about it, but even so you have 3 years warranty on RROD if you bought it new.

Yeah give it a few weeks and see what happens.

I had to send mine off in the end but got it back a week later, so you shouldnt have to wait long if worst comes to worst.
