May have blinked and missed this on the forums, but 3D is coming to the Xbox 360. My dad of all people had a go (well watcxhed someone play) on an LG 3D TV at London Victoria station today and was impressed. He said that it was a war game being played (MW2 or BC2?)

I was thinking that 3D would only be on PS3.

360 is just as capable as the PS3 at displayed 3D.

Although I wonder, I doubt 3D is doable through Component is it? I thought it was only HDMI v1.3+ or something?

I remember seeing the XBL Arcade/PSN game Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao in 3D when i went to Blitz Games Open Day in March. Looked pretty funky at the time. Tis already out afaik.

Given to run 3d every frame needs to be rendered twice I really could care less about 3d on the 360, given most games are really pushing the 360 already, I'd rather just stick to PC for tech like this, so I know it will always work and won't be killed off by a design change, and won't end up being a prerequisite for gaming, I can't imagine this being a huge success, most people probably don't want to wear glasses to chill out when gaming, especially when at the distance most play their Xbox's at it's very hard to get a decent depth effect going.

Was that the southern side? I missed it :(

3D = M e h. Just another sodding gimmick to try and sell us more TV sets since the HD moniker has been overused, as has the 100hz refresh rate lark. After 3D has done it's time, the next big jargon will be here to tempt us.
