Xbox 360 3rd party peripherals disabled?

I just tried to play my Xbox and my Datel turbo fire controller refuses to sync to my Xbox.

I've had a wee look on google and it appears the latest dashboard update might have disabled all 3rd party peripherals.

Does anyone else have this problem? Or is the info false and my controller is just gubbed?

I've also heard of a problem with wheels such as fanatec not working on the new update probably linked.

My controller now works after Datel released a fix
