XBox 360 60hz-only games

There was a thread on here that I've read recently that listed all of those if memory serves. Start scrolling through I reckon!

The current list of games that need to be played with your Xbox 360 set to PAL-60 are as follows:

* Dead or Alive 4
* Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires
* The Outfit
* The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
* NBA 2K6
* NHL 2K6
* Final Fantasy XI
* Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
* Top Spin 2
* Hitman: Blood Money
* Ninety-Nine Nights

Straight off xbox.com (though to be fair, it doesn't seen that up-to-date :p

Can someone correct me if I'm wrong but if you have your 360 connected via VGA then surely pal-50 and pal-60 shouldnt really come into effect? however I've found that I get the occasional game complain that the 360 needs to be in pal-60 mode even when i'm connected via vga? I've then got to switch to the crappy composite cable and alter the pal settings and connect the vga back up

The VGA cable forces all games to play in 60Hz. You do get problems trying to run some of the Xbox Originals over VGA, as some games need to run at 50Hz (Halo and Psyconauts for example).

ah, that makes sense. though its annoying that theres no option to change between pal-50 and pal-60 with the vga cable plugged in

I can't believe it's still an issue. They should have just made the 360 60Hz only.

It must be 15 years or more since I owned a TV that couldn't display PAL-60. Even when I had my Amiga, my TV could handle it.

Reason I ask is the kit I'm planning on buying to hook my 360 up to my iMac doesn't support 60hz (Elgato Eyetv Hybrid).

Does the screen of the iMac not have any kind of video inputs on it? I ask because using a tv tuner with composite/s-video will look shoddy to say the least with the 360 :(

the 360 does support component, vga, hdmi etc

No, only outputs. Composite is a drawback of not having to have two screens I guess :) Trying to save space.
