Xbox 360 - A good idea?

Well I took the plunge and today ordered:

  • Xbox 360 Console (Includes: Xbox 360, 20GB hard drive, wireless controller, ethernet cable, HD AV cable and headset)
  • Gears of War (Xbox 360)
  • Crackdown (Xbox 360)
  • Xbox 360 Entertainment Pack (Consists of: Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, Project Gotham 3 game, Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged Vol. 1 game collection

All for £289 delivered, thank you very much Zefan for pointing me in the right direction for such a bargain :D

ps. The Xbox live unplugged, i presume that doesn't include and Xbox live subscription, leading onto my next question, if not is it worth buying one? Not sure if its worth risking a 12 month on when i'm off to Uni soon.

Summer will be mostly spent outside, more looking at it for the late nights / early mornings, looked in the rainforest and there seems to be some good offers, the Gear of Wars + Crackdown looks good for £279, unless i can find a cheaper second hand console of course,

Also, a bit of a tangent, anyone played Pro Evo on the 360? Is it comparable to the PS2 version? Have gotten so used to the PS2 version am wondering if it is the same as the 360 one, barr of course getting used to a different controller.

Cheers.

It is different. It has it's flaws but I still think it is a great game, especially online. Give it 5 months or so and Pro Evo 7 will be upon us so lets hope that is good.

To the OP I would say deffo get a 360. Great games already and some great games to come. In terms of value for money right now you can't beat it.

EDIT: Oh, you bought one :) Well done.

No problem.

ScarySquirrel your sig's filesize is over the maximum allowed of 20KB. Sort it before a Don nukes it!

Hi,

I have it on good authority you know about sigs.

Can I make the Save the Cheerleader thing in my sig any bigger without breaking the rules? I'm unsure on the limits as it is not an image or a computer spec.

As long as it's not intrusive and isn't larger than 4 lines of text would be then I don't think there's a problem. I think the line between fine and breaking the rules is quite fuzzy sometimes, this being a good example.

You can probably go up one more font size, but in the end of the day it's all down to whether a Don thinks it stands out too much.

Cool. I was thinking of replacing it with a banner of some sort but I don;t know about photoshop or nothing.

Unfortunately When I increase the font size it becomes 2 lines :(

If I can't do better with MS paint in the next few days then I will have to use that :p

On some forums people request other people to make banners etc for them, but I think I would feel silly asking. Dunno why.
