I've had a 360 since December 05 and think it is amazing.

My brother now wants one but unlike me doesn't have a HD TV.

He is adamant that he wants an elite but it's HDMI isn't it? Is the elite backwards compatible with an SD TV? Is there a VGA cable available for the elite??

The Elite comes with a composite cable as well and will work with a normal tele

I would suggest he upgrades his tele as well FOR AWESOME HD GAMING EXPERIENCE LOL

The standard VGA cable works on the Elite and as ScarSquirrel said you can still use the Elite on a normal TV using the composite cable or buy the SCART cable for a better picture.

Ahh great stuff.

Haha, he's well aware of the gap between HD & SD. Hence why he wants a VGA cable for his monitor haha.
