I know on my 19" monitor sometimes things are slightly skewed, such as the speedometer in Project Gotham Racing 3.

If I go for a 22" would that display the image as it was meant to be displayed?

The reason I ask is I really fancy the 22" Samsung people are praising, but the BenQ 22" has a HDMI input.

Therefore, is 22" by default is a native Xbox 360 resolution Im happy, however do I need to buy a monitor with HDMI to get a better image quality from my Xbox 360?

Thanks

BenQ and Samsung are excellent brands, you can't go wrong with either. If you get the 360 Elite which has HDMI I'd go for the BenQ but if you have a normal core of premium go for the Samsung.

22" monitors have a native resolution of 1680x1050 which the Xbox 360 doesn't have support for yet. However if you set the display options on the 360 to 1280x1024 in widescreen then you can't really tell the difference and the picture looks nice and crisp. Everything will look how it is supposed to look.

The problem is widescreen pc tfts are 16:10 while almost all the x360's widescreen resolutions are 16:9 (with the exception of 1280x768 which is 16:9.6). Therefore you will get distortion unless you have scaling options i.e. 1:1 or aspect scaling.

The problem you currently have with PGR3 may be because you have the 360 set to 1280x1024 (software bug). Try 1024x768 and it will cure the PGR3 problem.
