Hi guys.

I want to get a xbox 360 but wondering if I should get the arcade or the premium. I dont plan on playing it online much. I will play it a bit, but dont need headphone and stuff for example. I am only getting just to be able to play games like Star Wars: Force Unleashed and TNA impact game and may play some other xbox exclusive down the line. I only want to use it to play a few games and need space for saving progress. I wont be having like 10 games in one go or anything like that, so do i need the hard drive? How much is the average save file?

Finally the price of the xbox 360 dropped in the US, do you anticipate it coming down here also before crimbo?

Any advice would be very much appriciated.

Thanks lads (and perhaps lasses) :)

I don't know about price drops but I don't think any one can really recommend the arcade now-a-days as the HDD has no many uses (patches, demo's, media, arcade games, game saves (can be big!)).

I did not think of patches and demos. Seems its gota be a premium then. Cheers guys

Arcade you dont get a hdd or hd cable or headset so unless you are buying it as a spare it isnt worth getting .

Thanks guys. I have decided to go for the 20gb one with HDMI which means it will be the new model :)

BTW it comes with Component HD AV Cable. But I want to hook it up to my Dell 2408 monitor. Is that cable as good as having an HDMI cable?

it will do HD (faily sure your dell has component on it?) but you might find you get slightly better quality with a HDMI cable. it's just a case testing and going with which ever looks best to you

Yeah it does have component. I think I will just get a HDMI cable though.

Any recommendations on a HDMI cable? 1 meter is maximum needed. Or are they all the same. I did a google search. Some say all the same, even one for £2 vs one for £80. Some say go for one for a £10 one. A bit confusing. Anyone here have experience with this?

I would choose the premium any day especially now it comes with a nice 60gb HDD as standard :)

The Arcade is great if you need a replacement and you aren't covered by the warranty but i wouldn't go out and buy one otherwise.
