Is it me or is the Xbox 360 CDDB a bit rubbish?

I tried inserting the Gnarls Barkley album into my 360 and the console listed the CD as unknown. I tried a couple of other CDs and the same thing happened. Out of the half a dozen or so CDs that I tried, only Funeral by The Arcade Fire was recognised.

Where is it pulling the information from? The internet? A database stored locally? If it's a local database, is there anyway to update it?

Has anyone else had problems with it? I can't be arsed to plug my iPod in every time I want to listen to music. :p

i thought it got the track listings from the interweb?

i've not had any probs with any of the cd's i've tried in mine.

I'd rather be able to do it with my PC off. :(

It seems a bit stupid that it doesn't get the track listings from the internet. Who wants to input all those names with a control pad?

you don't have to input them with the pad. i've not had to do that once with any cd i've played on the 360.

I have with 7 discs, 3 of them had track names - 4 discs were from the same artist...

It knew the Megadeth albums I ripped, but tbh a cheap HD in a cheap external caddy for the win. Suddenly I have more music to choose from than the 360 HD could ever hold.
