Hey,

My situation with my 360 at the moment is not ideal , I've got a CAT cable running through 2 doors and I can tell it's gonna break any time soon , so what's the cheapest way to go wireless ?
I'm going to look out for an official 360 wireless adapter on MM but what about one of those ethernet > wireless adapter things (I can't remember their name :o) , which would be cheaper ?

Or should I just buy some flat CAT cable and stick it under the door ?:p:D

Thanks :)

Can't seem to find that anywhere lol , I'll keep searching though , can only think of one phone shop who sells 360 stuff and they don't have it online :confused:.

Just wondering , do they effect your connection much compared to wired ?

There's not a great deal of difference between wired and wireless these days.

I don't think you can say that. Depends how far he is away from his router. That alone will make a massive difference on speed.

Personally I'd always go wired. At least you know you are always getting the best connection.. Replace the exisiting wire. .It'll also be a lot cheaper .

I've got my wireless laptop in my room , but I'd rather not have it on whenever I wanted to play 360. Wireless distance is not a problem either , the router is literally 1ft away , but there's a wall in the way too :p

Will have a look for Homeplugs , dunno how cheap they are though :D

I disagree, if you have a 20mb, or 10mb connection and you're faced with a wall between you and your wireless, it's not going to make any real difference between your gaming latency. Download speed perhaps, but gaming ping will remain otherwise unnaffected.

Wired will always be better, but there isn't much difference any more;

Cheapest way as mentioned is to put a ethernet cable from your computer/laptop to the xbox and tell the computer to share the internet, needs about 5 mins of setting up but it works perfectly and costs next to nothing :)

If you are using wired, get yourself 2 of the "home hub" sockets that work via your electrical wiring.

To network juniors PS3 and XBOX from where they were was going to be a pain, so I got 2 of the "200mb [rofl...]" ones from the Bay. Still faster than wireless.
