XBox 360 Component cable into HDMI?

Hi guys quick Xbox question. My mate want to give me his old XBox for GTA but it's the old 20GB one with no HDMI. Now i've only got a HDMi monitor with DVI and HDMI, would there be any way of connecting it to my monitor?

VGA -> DVI dongle, and a VGA xbox cable should do it

Not aware of anything component into HDMI - doesn't mean there won't be one, I just have never used one!

Component to HDMI would need a convertor box, they start at around £35.

If the monitor input is DVI-I then hillys suggestion is sound. DVI-D and your out of luck.

if the converter is £35 then I might as well buy a 2nd hand HDMI 360.

The spec sheet is showing a VGA connector on that model: "Analog input connector D-Sub"

Get hold of a 360 VGA lead and you're sorted. Goes into the blue one below.

Cool, how would I get sound though? VGA is just video isn't it?

Buy the official Microsoft 360 VGA cable its the best one and also one of those little audio connectors you linked to and you will be sorted
