Hey there, recently purchased an xbox 360 wireless adapter, it detects my network fine, I stick all the settings in dashboard to 'auto', but the 360 simply will not connect to my wireless network. I'm using an MSI RG60SE router with virgin media broadband. Dashboard says it detects the wireless router, and also says 'connected' next to my wireless network. I've made sure there is no router settings stopping the 360 from connecting, such as denying MAC addresses etc, followed all the suggestions at the 360 websites, but still no dice. Also tried using the cat5 cable included in the box to connect to my PC and bridge the connections, but still doesn't detect anything, will detect that the 360 is 'wired' but will fail the IP test, yet an IP is assigned when I wire it up!

Has anyone here had any similar problems? Am I missing something simple that even MS haven't mentioned on their websites?

This is driving me mad¬!:(

does this help?

If not someone on here a while ago had similar problems but said they managed to get it working after he asked on another forums but I cant remember which ones, try googling xbox live forums or something maybe.

Hi mate,

I replyed to your email before I saw this thread. Just want to clarify, can you get onto live over a wired connection plugged straight into your router? Is it just the wireless you are having a problem with?

Cheers

Matt
