Hi all :)

I'm having a few problems connecting my Xbox to the media center program.

I'm able to view music, pictures and so on, but when it comes to video's or anything like that, I cant get it to work.
I've installed the program a few times, but I'm still not asked for the 'serial' code for the Xbox and I find that this is the problem.

Is there a download that can update the program so that this will work? Has anyone else had this problem?

Many thanks as always :)

You can't stream videos from a PC unless you have Windows XP Media Centre Edition. So if you have XP home or professional then u cant stream videos off the PC

Oh I do apologise, I thought you could!

I do have XP Pro with Service pack 2 installed, I've just reinstalled the machine because of it!! :(

Is it a free program to download or is a buy it program?
Many thanks for the very quick reply :D

you have to buy it-its a seperate operating system. It looks exactly the same but has a few media thingys.

Not sure if you can get a CD or you have to buy a new PC, i suspect CD but somebody will have to confirm that

2nd From Bottom for OEM

But you need to buy that with Hardware, else you can't buy it, the OEM product that is.

You can get it normal Retail, but OcUK don't sell that.

Well I certainly wont be bothering with it for £76!!

I'll stick with the PC on that score then ;)

Many thanks guys :)
