This would be great if it could be made a poll please??

I got my Elite today, I have the 3 options to connect to my TV:

- VGA
- Component
- HDMI

HDMI would be an ideal as I have my PC connected via the VGA port on the TV. Component is also an option though.

What connection did you go for and why?

Thanks

Currently VGA, as I am using my premium which doesn't have an HDMI slot.

However when I move that will go in the bedroom and my Arcade 360 will be in the living room connected via HDMI to an Onkyo 605 amp, then HDMI to the TV.

component as i've run out of HDMI slots. there's a free one, but the wall mount handily blocks it from use.

GREAT!

I use HDMI because cool people use HDMI and I'm cool

I'm not sure why you need to ask though if you have all 3 cables - just try them and see what you prefer? :p

HDMI. I moved from VGA to HDMI as soon as I got my Elite. Really, why wouldn't you?

edit: my reason when I think about it was my Toshiba 42" 1080p TV only does 720p/1080i over VGA and the 360 doesn't upscale DVDs over Component. So it was an easy descision.

I was surprised that you could even connect the PS3 to a TV this way. If that was your only option then you should seriously be considering why you own a PS3.

Ha really.. I didn't know PS3 had one.. why on earth!

I have used both VGA and component with my 360 and can't tell the difference, having said that it depends a lot on your monitor/tv and how well it handles both inputs.

You would be better off with HDMI.. I would use HDMI, but my 360 is HDMI-less :(

Yeah you can plug in the RF cable from the PS2 and use it, even a TV we had from the early 1980's had composite video and mono audio via phono connections on it so you'd have to be pretty pushed to need to use it on the PS3.
