Sorry if this has been covered already, but couldn't find it on a search.
Right, I have an LCD TV and a 24" LCD monitor (1x VGA and 1x DVI with HDCP) and I want to share my XBox 360 (HDMI model) and my PS3 between these 2 displays.
Until now, the XBox has been connected via a VGA cable to the monitor and the PS3 has been via HDMI to the TV (Also has an optical digital connection to my amp).
I have just got an HDMI switch with 3 inputs and 2 outputs and my question is this.
If I connect the XBox to the switch via HDMI can I still make use of the sound through the VGA cable, when using the monitor as an output or is that blocked when the HDMI port is used.
