My missus has a 360 console which happened to come with installed games and previous owner profiles, so deleted the profiles, but I want some of the games installed and I used a sub flash drive for some games, but they won't work on my Xbox 360?

I usually only transfer between same console and normally I have live, but currently I only have free live no gold, so I don't know if this is a reason?

I have however noticed my console have previously downloaded content which some are interesting to redownload, but I want some of her games lol, nothing special just ones I like or haven't played like bioshock infinite, moved fine between consoles but won't launch.

Am I missing something or is there no hope? Missus wants the drive wiped of the games and seems cruel not to try take advantage of them given the costs it would've been.

The game license will be attached to the profile it was installed on.
Moving the game files won't allow them to work on your profile, you should have to sign in as the person who originally installed them. iirc.

Aha okay cheers, that sucks, but oh well eh, think arcade versions work.

Edit: the games are tied with the Xbox without their profile, guess I'll have to convince her to keep some games lol

Hmm what about content?

With my Xbox I stated there was content that was originally purchased by the last owner and most are DLC for games they sold me or games I already own, as I'm doing a 'download again' are they now tied to me? There was no profiles or any content when I got the Xbox and while I made an offline account to start with I do now have my original GT downloaded, just no gold live yet.

I'm just thinking if I was to sell the Xbox(missus has 2 anyways) or upgrade the hard drive I will still have access to the content.
