Xbox 360 controller drifting left

So my afterglow xbox controller has started to drift left on it's own, if you let go of the sticks the camera slowly starts turning left, it's getting really annoying trying to play like this, fps are nearly impossible a quick google search shows this is a widespread problem and seems to happen a lot.

Just wondering if anyone knows a fix for this that doesn't involve taking the thing apart, last time i did this i ruined my controller and it no longer worked

Or does anyone know of another third party controller that doesn't suffer from this

Why does it have to be 3rd party?

Take it apart and reassemble would be my first port of call, if that fails just buy an official wired or wireless pad.

The reason i said third party is if you google xbox controller drift, 99% of the problems are with the official microsoft one, so i was just wondering if anyone knows of another controller that does not suffer from this
