Xbox 360 controller for Windows and Need For Speed games?

Has anyone here played NFS Most Wanted or NFS Carbon with the Xbox 360 controller for Windows?

I would really like to know how well it works, and particularly whether the rumble works (properly) with those games.

I have played those games on my PC with the original Xbox controller (not 360) and the XBCD drivers, and it works well but the rumble doesn't work properly at all. ie. you have to disable it, because otherwise it rumbles whenever you move the stick at all.

Played Most Wanted a lot with the pad, didn't have rumble turned on in the xbcd drivers, pad worked great though

Played carbon, Underground 2 and Pro Street Demo with it.

I bought Most Wanted and the 360 pad awhile ago, and it drove me nuts. While everything was setup by default to work as if it was on the 360, the game didnt set a dead zone, so the car swerved all over the place

And i could never get those 3rd party drivers to work. I dont think it had rumble either.

I then sold that and got the Logitech Rumblepad 2, which was auto set up in the game like a PS2, AND had rumble............but for me it still swerved around. This is why i hated pads on the PC, it never quite worked

Thankfully GFW's games dont gimme any of that hassle now, phew.

Used a wired pad to play all the NFS series on my PC.
