any wired pad will work.

Yeah they are great. I played the witcher 2 on my new 40" tv with the xbox controller and it was superb

I've got the POP collection, bought the 1st in the series about 6 months back. It did not have xbox pad support out of the box. Got it to run perfectly using xpadder though.

PS i have a standard wired white one

If I get a wired 360 controller, any old one will do as long as its made by MS?

If I want a wireless one, then I need to make sure it states for PC and has a dongle?

Then you can pimp it! This is my 'orange' mod controller, its not much but I like it.

Sorry the controllers so dirty, the pics were from just after at was modded, and its about 6 years old.

With the wireless ones you need a reciever.

Which will come with the pad if you get the "Xbox 360 Wireless Controller For Windows" (as it's named on most sites). Make sure you don't just buy a regular wireless X360 controller, though, as it won't come with the receiver.

Although £10 more than you'd be able to get a wired controller for, OcUK stock the wireless variant at a fairly competitive price (surprising considering the whole overpriced gaming thing of late ).

The wireless controller is probably only worth it if you're not bothered by the additional cost or if you've already got the actual controller from owning an X360 and just buy the receiver (seemingly rare these days, though, but can be had for around the £10 mark).
