Xbox 360 Controller - GTA3

Realised when I preordered IV that 3 was the only one I haven't played (much) so I got it and want to use my 360 controller, but mapping doesn't work in game.

Any software/solutions?

I'm on Vista 64, thanks.

This a CD GTA3 or Steam Download? Id be interested as to how the Steam games cope with pads, especially GTA1 and 2?
