Xbox 360 controller headset

Sup guys, I am curious if the 360 wireless controller works with the official MS headset that plugs into the bottom of the controller?

I ask as it would make my life SO much easier having mumble come through the headset and normal audio coming through the speakers.

Is this possible?

It used to work with GFWL titles except Lost Planet 2 (MS changed the codec on Xbox live a few years ago which broke the headset audio) not sure about now as long as you have the official wireless controller drivers installed it should be good to go if its in device manager.

Hmmm, I'll pick one up today then, if it works, I'll keep, if not, I'll return.
