I bought a 360 controller to use with burnout but it won't "see" it. I installed the drivers and windows can see it but when I start burnout and go to the controller settings, I can't change from the keyboard.

Anyone else has this problem? :(

You shouldn't need to go into controller settings/anything. It "just works".

Or, in your case "just doesn't work". Perhaps try reinstalling the drivers?

It's wired. I'm well aware that it should just work but it doesn't seem to be the case and I don't know why :(

I've tried reinstalling the drivers by uninstalling it from device manager but that hasn't made any difference.

Burnout just automatically switches to whhichever device had the last input. Press a key on your keyboard, and all the prompts will show as 'del', 'return' etc. Press a button on your 360 pad, and the prompts will switch to 'A', 'R2' etc..

There's no need to configure it in Burnout, it just works. I assume you've actually tried just using the pad, as well as trying to change the settings so it uses the pad?

Well that's part of the problem, it doesn't detect that the controller exists. Under the active controller part it only lists the keyboard. I've tried pressing all the 360 pad buttons but nothing has any effect.

I assume that's the CD that comes with the controller? If so, I've already installed those but it didn't make any difference.

EDIT: Just started Fallout 3 and that picked it up perfectly fine and without any problems :(

I've got this same problem, except mine only see's the 360pad and not my G25. Will try reinstall and see how it goes. Man i HATE console ports but this game looks too fun to miss!
