Xbox 360 Controller on Pc - Through Charge and Play?

Does anyone know if we can use our xbox controllers on our pc with the play and charge kit?

I cant get it to work for love.. and i dont have any money.. so nor that either. I downloaded the xbox360eng.exe from microsoft and in my game controller list the xbox controller doesnt show up..

Anyone got this working? Is it possible?

Any help is much appreciated.

Doesn't work.

Only the wired controllers work on a PC

The reason it doesn't work is the wireless controllers always communicate via wireless, even when a play and charge kit is plugged in. The cable is only ever used for power.
