I basically want to know, in peoples opinion which one is the best. I know the Nyko one is rubbish as it melts the back of your 360...

There was one with green LED's but I cant find that now. From the looks of it - the Pelican stand cooler looks great but I cant find anywhere in the Uk that sells them.

Any opinions, questions, advice ect. much needed

I think that those were the ones that steal power from the main supply by piggybacking the cable, I notice one of them is usb powered which should be better.

Is your machine overheating, these coolers are more of a gimmick than anything else, a healthy X360 shouldnt need any extra cooling.

extra noise, extra cost and when you spend however much they are over in the UK, you really should NOT need to spend extra just so the thing doesn't overheat !

or you could place your psu in a cool place. clean the dust of your 360 and dont cram it in a tight place. The 360s cooling is fine. Jst like a pc...you can cover up the vents or it will die a painfull death.....

Thanks for the replies guys. My 360 isn't overheating or anything but has anyone read that review I've linked? The Pelican one reduces the stock temperature loads. It simply forces the air through the bottom of the 360 so there is more air going through.

It seems a good idea to me. My 360 isn't really compact but the airflow at the back is blocked slightly (its sitting in an entertainment centre). It seems that the ones that pull airflow through the back aren't as good because their going to be putting more stress on the back etc. But these ones where the 360 stands on them seems to reduce the temperature loads thus prolonging the 360s gaming sessions and its life.

Shame that pelican one is only available in the US. The one that Josh said looks good, does look good but I dont know how loud the fans are on it. The pelican one we do as there have been tests done on it

i like the look of that one, i mean it has component/vga/opticals etc all on there, any idea how that hooks up? i presume it just jacks into the back of the console?

It would have to plug into the video port on the back of the 360 to get the video signal I would have thought. I also assume it plugs into the usb port at the back for the usb hub.

none of the xbox 360 coolers are any good however the best method to cool is to use a laptop cooler and place it horizontally

Its not about how hot every individual's xbox gets, its about prolonging the life of the xbox. The temperatures from that review were a lot less than when only the stock fans were used. Mine gets very hot also. It cant be doing the hardware any good at all
