does anyone else get LANGUAGE! off with some of the xbox 360 demos?

i d/l the NBA demo the other day. all 1.2gb of it. it then only lets you play for about 2 minutes before its all over. whats the point. i found it more annoying than anything else and as a result i wont be buying the game.

i love the idea of being able to d/l all the demos, but surely they need to make me want to buy the game, not the other way round!

Watch the swearing please.

I have to agree with you gjrc. I mean the point of a demo is to demonstrate the game and entice you into buying it. If a demo is of poor quality or doesn't give you enough time to actually say, "wow this is really good, i think i'll buy this", what's the point?

There is a point, and one I don't like very much. You see, some people are too easily suckered by nice graphics.

Demos on live are one of the best things about the 360.

Unfortunatly they have forced me to part with allot more money than i would have liked I would never have bought Tiger woods 07, tomb riader legends or FN3 without having been pulled in by the demos.

And the demos of lost planet and Rainbow 6 Vegas have pulled me in as well, and if it wasnt for the fact i have too many games and not enough time id probally have got Splinter cell as well.

Actualy come to think of it the 360 was ment to be "cheaper than a PC" but i have probally spent enought now to buy a good gaming rig in total.

If there was half as many good games on the PC id be regreting my choice, and its becoming harder and hard to justify spending 2k on a machine to play EQ2 and QW:ET on next year.

I think this varies from demo to demo, most seem to be about 1 gig ish and it's a question of how much of the game they can get into that file size.

Tiger woods only needed to set up backgrounds and used the rest on tigers actions, where as NBA or NHL has lots of players to control and that needs a bigger file size, hence less to try.

Only "bad" demo i can think of is NHL07 casue its just a shoot out not a game.

A 5 min period would have been a better demo, Its a fantastic game though so ......

I'm really enjoying the downloadable demoes at the moment! I've just downloaded the FN3 and N3 demos and they're GREAT fun!
