Ok, cousin has a dodgy xbox wouldn't read disks so a few weeks ago I flashed a new dvd-rom and installed it for him (no warrenty as he previously opened it) until yesterday it played fine however his Fable 2 disk has gotten a ring around the middle due to the drive I guess. Not wanting to do this to any other games (the game no longer reads Fable 2 but it works on another xbox oddly) is there any cleaners that can remove a layer from the disk and repair it.
I know the above can be done as I've done it before just not with xbox disks. The ring isn't deep just a layer or so but the xbox refuses to read it (that being his) also any suggestions as to why its doing it to the disks? I assume its laser related as theres nothing else to scratch it.
