Hi guys,

With an Xbox 360 I've just purchased 2nd hand I'm not sure if I was given an official pad.

It's got a red button on the back of the pad, do all elite pads have this?

What is its purpose?

My black Elite pad has not got a red button on the back, so guessing its not official unless things have changed?

Just asked my cousin and he says it's a 'Mod for World at war'. Guess it's a rapidfire then? Is it even safe to use this online?

I certainly would never ever use it - Cheating in online games is pathetic!

and pointless with a rapidfire controller, i bought one to use with pistols for a laugh really. but it uses bullets too fast, makes the kick-back on the gun terrible and made me die more. also i can now shoot almost as fast as that controller.

Is there anyway to see if a console is flashed? I'm just wondering because if he bought a rapidfire controller you don't know what other dodgy things he could have done to the console.

I have the console in my hands now. It probably isn't flashed - It's only 3 months old and still covered with MS warranty but he's a bit of an idiot lol.

Warranty seal is all intact under the faceplate.

Who in their right mind ever buys a 2nd hand 360? That's like playing with matches at a petrol station. You are asking for trouble !

yea, just a turbo control. i guess the person you brought it off is too crap for other people so has to cheat...:p

im guessing the pad didnt improve there "skill" since there selling :D

and as to asnwer your "is it safe to use online" MS dont care. i have yet to see one person i have filed a complaint for cheating ever get a ban...

I'd give you a rolleyes, but you'd no doubt come back with something equally as petty, so all I'll say is don't be silly :).

The turbo pad will be going into the bin anyway.

I've just found the Windows Xbox 360 pad I purchased and hardly ever used and it happens to work with the elite. :)
