Xbox 360 freezing logging into live - anyone else?

My 360 has been fine, but locked up after i played Soulja at Fifa, i reset but it freezes when i log into live.

Anyone having similar problem tonight?

Been fine to be honest mate, but I've only watched an episode of Big Train and played a couple of games of the PES2009 demo on mine tonight.

mine was doing the same this afternoon, hasnt been right since the maintenance, havent tried it tonight yet

There has been a problem today I believe with downloading certain demos, PES2009 in particular. Are you downloading that by any chance? If so, it's just a case of turning your 360 on with the network cable out and removing it from the Active Downloads.

problem - dont have access to active downloads without the network cable.

No problem. I really have no idea why it is happening. Don't know if it happens with anything else, just seems to be the PES demo for me. Whenever I try resuming the download it has the same effect. Guess I'll have to wait until they sort it out until I can have a play

Edit: If I remember correctly once my profile had logged in it was Guide button > Personal settings > Active downloads.

Yeh but i cant get logged in to cancel the download unfortunately.

Strange. My profile auto signs in regardless of being connected to the internet or not.

Having a similar problem.

I have a a game of fifa then when I quit to the arena the game just hangs, then the arena shows and I'm disconnected from live.

Weird!

I also had the same problem this afternoon, restarting xbox while PES9 was downloading.
Was bricking it as it was the first time I plugged in my wireless receiver, thought that was the problem

does anybody know how i can stop the pes09 demo stop downloading without connecting to xbox live? i've tried deleting it from the harddrive but then when i turn the console on with the network cable connected it still tries to continue downloading the demo and consequently freezes again.

turn it on without the network plugged in and delete it from the HD, through the browser in settings, worked for me

Hope they fix this problem soon, i cant download megaman and ive bought it.
