Xbox 360 freezing

Last night, my xbox froze halfway through a game on BC2, this has happened a couple of times now over the last several months.

Is this the early stages of something bad?

I want to play a game today for a long period but I have a funny feeling that it will do it again and get worse. So before I get stuck in finishing my 5th playthrough of fable 2 should I do anything? It's now out of warranty so don't mind opening the beast up.

Mine started doing this, I took the whole thing apart and then re-applied some fresh thermal paste, put it back together and its been a fair bit better since, still crashes out in forza but I have since learnt that this appears to be an issue with the game rather than my console.

Yeah if you don't mind taking it apart, I'd be opening it up and cleaning all the dust out and as sp00n mentioned, reapplying paste.

Will pop over to my local shop and pick up some arctic silver and open it up over the week
