Xbox 360 From Argos

Hi guys i just brought an Xbox 360 aracde from argoas a week ago and was wondering what warrenty i get with argos with the console, and wherther its worth paying the £25 for 3 years extra cover soo if it RROD's or anything i can swap it straight away rather than having to go through Microsoft...

I don't think it's worth it, you should have a year with Argos anyway and MS's turnarounds seem to be pretty quick.

I wouldn't bother, you get extended warranty for RROD issues via Microsoft anyway. My Elite was like a 9 day turnaround, pretty good really.

If you can get them to activate it after the 3 years of RROD cover you get from MS anyway then it'd be worth it and secure you for a total of 6 years (3 with MS then 3 with Argos) but if not it's overlapping the warranty MS gives you anyway so not worth it.

I would pay £25 for 3 more years cover to swap it instore tbh. I've had almost as many drive failures as red lights especially when I used to game from disc rather than install.

I paid £50 odd quid for full 3 year cover with microsoft, £25 seems like a bargain to me. To not have to deal with MS 'support' and just walk into a store and get it changed would be worth my £25.

3 more days and I have reached a landmark. 12 months without having to send one back.
