Xbox 360 Hard drive

I have a 20gb hard drive on my xbox with nothing on it i want to keep. Can i just swap it out with any sata disk or do i need to do something funky with it?

Have to follow a certain procedure with a particular model HDD. Microsoft make it as awkward as possible. Google it and you will find the info you need.

I've done it in the past, and I still say it's less hassle to just bite the bullet and buy an official one at full price.

Same here, it was a headache to sort out and took a few hours. I would have just bought one if I had known, but I like to try these things.

Ah ok i wont bother then, was only interested as i had a couple of spare 120gb drives.
