Xbox 360 HD-Drive on a Widescreen TFT?????

Hi all after a bit of advice ?

thinking of getting a 360 HD-Drive and want to know if it will work ok running it throught the 360 via VGA in to my 20" Samsung 205BW /widescreen TFT
the Max Res on the moniter is up to 1680x1050

will the picture by HD quailty on the tft and also is there much differance when you play a normal dvd on the 360 HD-Drive as it upscales the picture

On most TFTs the image will be stretched from 16:9 to 16:10 aspect ratio.

From what I can recall, the Xbox 360's VGA resolutions are 1366x768 and then it jumps to 1920x1080. So you will have to run at 1366x768. This is enough for 720p HDTV. I reckon as the screen is smallish, that you won't really notice a difference.

Even on my Dell 24" at 1920x1080 there wasn't that much improvement because there were black bars reducing the viewable area to about 720 lines. Curses to 2.35:1 films.
