Quick question, Is there any difference between the American and UK versions of the Xbox 360 HD DVD player?

Just the plug, put a adaptor or rewire it to work.

Yeh afaik HD DVD's are region free too, shall be picking up a selection when i go to USA next week!

Are you sure about that? I looked at a unit in the states the other week and could find no documentation on the US PSU that it was dual standard (athough apparently the PSUs shipping with European models are dual).

I can vouch the Hong Kong HD-DVD drive has a duel standard PSU, you just need to replace the figure of 8 cable, couple of £

am off to canada tomorrow, if i get one from there would i need a step down convertor to use it? or just need to change the plug?

Yeah, 119.99 + VAT, previous post was correct, the price is over the RRP.

It is up to the shop how much they charge for a product, if they don't make enough money on something it is not worth stocking it.

Nothing wrong with the price, pay it or go elsewhere really.

They are in such short supply at the moment too. Some shops have been charging £160 plus.
