Morning all,

Ive just managed to get a bargain deal on a Sony Bravia 32" HD LCD which is being delivered very soon, this is my first HD screen and im a bit unsure of a couple of things.

Im going to be connecting the 360 via the premium package included compenant lead to start off with, will the 360 auto detect that and change the settings automatically or is it a manual change? If so what do I need to change it to? My screen supports 720p and 1080i apparantly which are both supported by the 360. I realise that il probably have to fiddle with the LCD settings a bit to get it looking best.

Will be a nice upgrade from my 15" composite whatever! :p

Will be a very nice upgrade indeed. Or you'll need to do is plug the component cable in then pick which resolution (720p will most likely be best) and you're done.

Does the Sony TV have a VGA input? If so you might find you get a better picture through this.

Yes it does, but I gather that component and VGA both have their pros and cons and considering that I cant get an official VGA cable from anywhere at the moment il have to stick with the supplied cable for now.

Thanks for the replys, a bit clearer now, cant wait for the screen to be delivered.
