XBOX 360 HDMI + OPTICAL

Is it possible to use HDMI to connect to my TV and OPTICAL to connect to my AMP at the same time?

Is the problem currently that you can't fit both connectors in at the same time? Or am I thinking of a different problem ?

If it is the problem, you can just remove part of the casing on your non HDMI connection thing and then they both fit. I think.

Did Microsoft change the design on the non-hdmi adapter because I use that for the optical and a standard HDMI lead on my elite and did n't have to cut anything. It all just fits.

Yup providing its not one of the "newer" consoles that don't ship with the HD leads anymore, works a treat!

I have both the HDMI cable and the Optical unit connected without needing to cut anything - although this is with a brand new elite so might be different?
