ive just got my self a shiny new xbox 360 :)
its the new 60gb hdmi version, so the hdmi connection is new to me.
i cant decide what Reference Level to select because they all pritty much look the same to me.

Standard,
Intermediate, or
Expanded .

which one should i leave it on?

Hi,

Not sure if this is right but i guess that you need a TV with this tech on it "xvYCC Broad Colour Space" like the Toshiba 40ZF355d, thats the tv i have, this option give's you the full range of colour. Also think Blu ray is going to be using it soon.

If you don't have the tech on the tv it will do nothing. Hence why they all look the same i guess

Also make sure you recalibrate your brightness setting on the TV each time you change reference levels. eg. On my TV it's something like this:

Standard - Brightness 46
Intermediate - Brightness 55
Expanded - Brightness 61

You want the brightness as high as it will go before pure black starts to get lighter.

To use Expanded reference levels properly your TV needs to support full RGB. You might need to enable some setting or do something with the TV to tell it to look for a full RGB signal so check the manual.
