XBox 360 how long left

I'm not sure why but it seemed to me that inferior console almost always win the market in every generation. To me, people doesn't seem to give a toss about graphic because of this:

PS1 > N64/Saturn

PS2 > Dreamcast/Gamecube/Xbox

Now, Nintendo have given up graphic race and got selling Wii like hot cakes!
 
I would say that due to the massive amount of development and investment in the XBOX360 there will not be another console available from Microsoft until around 2011-2012. The 360 is still in its infancy, this is the year when the xbox360 will finally establish itself as a must have gamers console. Developers will be churning out all manner of titles and that will continue for at least 3 to 5 years.

I would imagine the next XBOX "720" will require a few years development and massive improvements in technology, to enable them to repeat and continue being successful.
