Xbox 360 ICS problem

HELP !

I'm trying to connect a Xbox360 to the internet using ICS with a XP box + wireless card and it falls over at the checking DNS stage

1. The xbox connects fine direct by cable through my router (Dlink 655)
2. It works fine wireless using a genuine Xbox adaptor (can't use it, long story )
3. my existing network uses IP adressess 193.168.11.xx
4. Firewalls are all turned off
5. I get the same results with the Xbox set to auto as manual

It checks the network, gets an IP then goes FAIL for DNS.

PC is 100% stable with up to date drivers and still has full connection to the Internet / LAN


any pointers / info however patronising will be gratefully recieved

forget ICS and just bridge your network connections on your PC. should work great

Been trying that , can't get PC to work on the net or the Xbox to acquire an IP

I've got it working through my Vista laptop , still won't work through my spare XP box though


Still should keep me going until christmas
