Xbox 360 in black?

I am looking to rebuy a Xbox 360 is the picture below true are Microsoft doing a Black version of the 360?

If this has been posted before then I am sorry

They certainly aren't currently, however I can't honestly say I've heard about them doing one in the future either.

At the moment, it's white, or skin it yourself.

As said above you can either skin a white one, or you can buy a new 3rd party case in pretty mucj the same scheme. Not sure about the controller though.

There are black 360's out there, but they're dev versions and not for retail sale.

Pains me to say it, but I would edit that out due to some of the stuff they produce, plus a few of the links on there, being related to stuff that isnt allowed here.

You can orderreplacement black cases and joypad cases from Whitedog Games here in Stoke.

The black case in the image the OP showed is just a photochop someone did a while ago. There are gray and black dev 360's though. Never heard of a white one unless it was some alpha kit.

I can guarantee, having actually seen them in the flesh several times that they are black with a larger slate-gray and more box-like hard drive attached.

*EDIT* Didn't see Kainzs post. The Alpha kits were actually a black mac! :eek:

Fair enough, maybe the alpha/beta ones is. My friend is a developer and has a dev kit and it's white though, so it's definately not exclusive.
