My 360 is about to die( :o )it's crashing all the time and also hardly reading the discs, thing is i bought it from argos's website and never recieved a recipt :( but on the side it's got the argos order number. so what will i be able to do? would i be able to get a swap? do i go to my local argos or contact the website?basically where do i stand

I've found the bank statement, but it doesn't say what it's for, just 'Debit Card - Argos Retail Group Internet £287.89'

That'll do, I imagine they may not even ask to see it.

Argos proof of purchase comes on the bag when you buy from them online, it's kinda stupid they don't supply a paper receipt.

that and the order number from the side of the box should be fine.

It's one of the things about Argos online that really irritates me, they don't give you a proper paper receipt - all you get is the sticker on the box that the goods arrive in, and possibly the order confirmation email (if you get one).

For what it would cost to resolve it (<5p an order at a guess to put the invoice/receipt in a pouch on the box), it's really stupid and anoying.

ive taken a dvd player back to an argos shop that was bought online.. as long as you have the argos number on the box you should be okay (from what telephone suppport told me)this acts as your receipt.

Mine was also purchased via Argos online, but I don't even have a sticker on the side of my box.

If push comes to shove, I'll use someone elses reciept :P.

They're under no legal obligation to provide a receipt. ;)

The order number is enough proof of purchase.

I've ordered things from Argos online and got a proper paper receipt each time.

I just got off the phone and they said they will have to send it off for repair, i thought they had to swap it? :(

You are entitled to a straight swap or refund, call them back and shout at them :D

i just called trading standards and they said that because i've had my 360 for over 6 months argos can send it off for repair :(

Well i took it back and the manager wasn't having any of it, he told me that argos send it to microsoft to repair, so he said i can use there phone to call microsoft to get it repaired, after being on hold for 10 mins the woman who was serving me went to the back, 5 mins later she came back and said 'put phone down, after blagging the manager i've got you a replacement' :D :D :D :D

So i would like to say thank you microsoft and your stupidly long waiting ques and also oike to thanks the helpful argos employee at the desk :)
