I have no intention of buying a console. I'm sat here typing this on my computer, why would I want to buy another? A mid range, upgradeable computer made from shoddy parts, slapped together, glued inside a plastic box and crippled so that I can only use it to play games and watch videos.
I'm guessing you have a pc too which you're using to post here. What made you get a console?

Several things, just to name a few though...

+ You can't get all the titles on any platform, there's tons of great games on consoles that will never be relased on PC.
+ Multiplayer as well, if I have friends round we can all sit round a big TV and have a laugh playing split screen co-op or Rock Band or something.
+ Girls love the Wii.

You may not want to play some of the great exclusive games on consoles, you may have no friends to play localised multiplayer games with and you may not like girls. I don't really know you, so you could have other reasons for not liking them.

Either way, I've bought them as well as my gaming PC to get the best out of all the games being released.
I probably use them all the same amount, and probably get the same enjoyment from them all.

I say I would never buy a console, but that's as they are now. You never know, in the future they might do away with p2p gaming, employ a better control system, remove subscriptions and so on, never say never. If a great console came out I'd possibly get one to compliment my pc. Like I say, I love gaming and I'm interested in the industry and everything, the thread title interested me

steering wheels have a detrimental effect on performance. Controllers are better
