I use my TFT display for playing Xbox 360 games on (via vga hd cable) and Xbox 360 games automatically goes into letterbox mode to get the correct resolution in so it doesnt look distorted (if you dont use native res on tfts it looks distorted etc).

However, the same isnt for Xbox 1 games. when I play Halo 2 or etc on my Xbox 360, the picture fills the whole monitor, using 1280x768 and making the picture look distorted. Isnt there a way to make Xbox 1 games letterboxed like their Xbox 360 counterparts? That would be pretty brilliant.

Massive oversight on MS's part imo.

There are some workarounds I think, though can't for the life of me remember what they are as I've not got the cable. Try setting to a different resolution on the VGA cable. Halo 2 should support widescreen I'd have thought, but a lot of Xbox 1 games do not have any widescreen support natively, and the VGA cable can be a bit horrid for getting games to look just right sometimes.
