Xbox 360 live account help

My girlfriends Xbox 360 has an Xbox live account in her exes name. She wants that gone and one in her name so how do I go about changing that over? Do I delete his account from the Xbox and then start a new xbox live account? If so how do I go about doing that? He uses his live account for his Xbox One so ideally I don't want to delete the entire XBox Live account if that makes sense :confused:

Why don't you leave the ex's Live account on and have access to the games he bought and just create a new Xbox Live account for your girlfriend.

Unless the ex's name annoys her but good chance if you delete it you will lose access to anything he bought.

Can he see when she logs in to his xbox live account on her xbox 360 from his xbox one? Without going into too much detail he has turned a bit stalkerish, so the less he knows about her daily habits and when she's in the house/on the xbox the better. If he can't then I'm worrying for nothing

Only if they add each other. Make a new account and no one will see you unless you want them to.

Ok, think it will be easier to set up a new account then.

One more question though, if she then signs in under her own account but I don't delete his account from the Xbox do his old downloaded games stay on there? Not a major point it's not used a great deal but would save me having to re-download some stuff.

On a slight side note but kind of related.

I have an xbox live account I use on my xbox one and I know you can log in to both an xbox one and xbox360 at the same time, but does that have to be on the same internet cnnection? E.g could she log into my xbox live account on her 360 at her house whilst I log in to my xbox one at my house?

Speaking as someone who has both the Xbox one and Xbox 360, you do not need to be on the same network to be signed into both these consoles at the same time. Using one of the consoles does not affect the other, the only change that happens is when you gain achievements, I believe the other console will need to sign out and then back in again for these to appear on both consoles. I hope this answered your question.
