Xbox 360, magnetically shielded?

Been a long time scince i posted in here!

I travelled back from uni yesterday, bringing my 360 back with me. Moving all the stuff back into my room i think i may have place a speaker ontop of my xbox 360 while i was jigging everything about in my room. The console still works fine however the colours are a little strange.

Instead of oranges and reds i now get a sort of lime green (highlighter yellow/green) the blues and purples work fine howevere, such as on the system blade. A halo 3 trailer played okay, colours were more or less alright but with some purple lines, which led me to think the graphics card has been magnatised?

I know what happened when you magnatise a CRT TV and this is sort of similar. I was sure my speakers were shielded, but maybe not! it worked fine before i brought it back from uni, could have been a knock in th ecar, but is more likely my own stupidity! I was heading into town anyway tomorrow to exhange some games, but looks like ill be dragging my console with me and telling them im getting green screens and freezing.

Anyone had anything similar? or experienced this before?

Any help is greatly apprieciated.

Unlikely to be anything magnetic. More likely transport damage or a busted cable.

CRT TVs show problems near an abnormal magnetic field as it distorts the aim on the electron beam so it hits the wrong colour phosphor on the glass.

Will try it on a different TV. There was a pritty bad kink in the AV cable right near the xbox end, ill have a fiddle see if i can resolve this. thanks for the quick replies :)
 
i think i may be a bigger fool than i thought. Having the component VIDEO cable in the phono plug , instead of the red AUDIO phono, might help, explains why some of the colours were missing! facepalm.

Should be okay to place a speaker on the xbox though? :p
