I have a 2006 box that is wayyy out of warranty, the cooling was sounding ridiculously loud so i opened it to see what it would sound like if i modded some 120mm fans to the outside intaking air.
Plugged a 120mm fan on and i heared a crack and a burnt smell. Unplugged it and put the original fans back on and now only 1 of the 2 fans of the original cooling spin.
The xbox boots up and works but what have i done to it?
*edit* theres a chip near the header at point R3B16 that looks burnt out. i guess its a voltage regulator?
