XBox 360 & NAS Enclosures

I was looking to buy a NAS enclosure to add more storage space for my movies ect. I was wondering if there would be any issues with getting the 360 to see these drivesas they are not physically in a computer?

Though I've no idea what a NAS is, the files need to be accessible from a PC using Media Centre 2005 so that they can be streamed with Transcode 360 or similar programs.

And I don't think it will work with the 360, unless you map a drive to the box from your PC running either the Media Extender or Media Centre itself.

I have a Linux NAS box setup which i can connect to with my 360 but like Memphis says, i have to map the drive on a Windows pc then share it using Windows Media Connect or the Media Centre sharing software if you want videos.

I've used one with the 360 and Windows MCE, no issues at all.

Hmm, I've never considered a NAS before, and now I'm rather wanting to get one as it'll solve a lot of file sharing etc issues for my home network, and if it works with MCE and the 360, even better!
