i usually have my xbox 360 plugged in via a VGA cable to my monitor but have just brought it round the missus house and plugged it into her normal TV via the scafrt cable and have switched it to TV (not HDTV) on the adapter but i get no screen display or audio, when i unplug it and plug in the telewest the picture returns with what is on telewest, i havent used it in a normal TV before so am not sure if i have set it up wrong. really wanting to play dead rising so a speedy answer would be great :D

Thx

try unplugging everything else that goes into the TV and plug the 360 into each input until it works :p try all ext channels, 1,2,3 etc. Had a similar problem with my HDTV, and it turned out the port I was plugging my gamecube into was overriding the component input, so by unplugging the GC, my 360 worked.

Have you left the 360 set on 1360x768 in the control panel?
That shouldn't cause it to do anything like that, as it's a different cable.

I presume you're using Yellow/Red/White connections into a SCART block? Does the TV have a composite (yellow) connection you can try?

yeah i plugged it right into the back of the tv with the adapter to change it from composite to scart(if thats correct) and nothing happens, have tried all channels. i have plugged in a adapter which goes scart into the TV to a hub which has composite, scart and s-video, if i have the telewest plugged into this hub via scart and have the xbox plugged in via composite at the same time i get the xbox image which is really fuzzy and also the telewest signal which is fuzzy aswell with the xbox audio aswell. when i take out the telewest scart cable and put the composite to scart adapter into that port i lose all signal totally as if it was plugged directly into the TV. thanks for all the replies so far guys having a xmas night in student house ad really wanna get a boxxing championship going :p

Stav

EDIT: DaveyD no it only has a scart and coaxial connection on it
