Xbox 360 on a PC

they do support the wireless pads though, you just need to buy the wireless reciever (think its about £12 or so?) then you can connect all the wireless peripherals to the PC including the wireless headsets etc

I know windows picks up some device when you plug the wireless controllers into the pc with the charging cable, but from what I remember, there isnt any actual data connection to the controller via it??

Correct. The Play & Charge Kit purely supplies power to the controller.

Not sure how it works with L4D but i dont think they have it setup right away for the 360 pad.

For BioShock you need to go into the options and change it to Gamepad, as it doesnt "just work" when you start using it.

L4D works when you click "Enable Gamepad" in options.
