Hey, I have a Samsung 223bw and it seems to provide a great picture on the 360 with a 1360x768 resolution; however, at the dashboard I am presented with a few options that I am not sure about: Reference Levels. I can select between Standard, Intermediate and Extended.

Intermediate and Extended seem to make the colours deeper, but I am not entirely sure which is the best setting for the XBOX on a VGA monitor.

I wanna play the games how they should look.

Any advice?

Thanks!

Extended seems a bit too vivid for my liking, perhaps if you alter the contrast/brightness levels it would look ok. But intermediate works for me.

Extended is what our TVs (and all PC monitors) use as a reference level (true VGA), there is no point at all in having a different setting. The default setting is for the reduced range the US sets use, which is why there were very few complaints about VGA in the US unless they were using the 360 on a PC display. The intermediate setting has no uses whatsoever.
